About Denver Rocks

Born in the heart of Denver, Denver Rocks Boxing traces its roots back to a bold era of the sport. Originally established in 1969 as part of the International Boxing League, the Denver Rocks quickly made their mark, finishing with a strong record and earning a place among the most competitive teams in the league.

But the legacy of Denver Rocks was never just about wins and losses—it was about fighters. Grit. Identity. The gym became a proving ground for hungry athletes chasing greatness, shaped by the rugged spirit of Denver itself. Fighters pushed past limits, building not only skill but character, representing a city known for resilience and toughness.

As the years passed and the league faded, so too did the original Denver Rocks. Like many great fight camps of the era, it disappeared from the spotlight—its name carried only in stories, old fight records, and the fighters who once wore it with pride.

But legends don’t stay buried.

Today, Denver Rocks Boxing has been reborn under the leadership of Coach Pedro Baca—a former Denver Rocks fighter who lived the grind, understood the culture, and carried its spirit forward. Trained in the old-school traditions of boxing and shaped by decades of experience in and out of the ring, Coach Pedro Baca brings the past into the present.

Under his guidance, Denver Rocks is more than a gym—it’s a revival. A return to fundamentals. A place where fighters are built, not just trained. Where discipline, respect, and relentless effort define every session.

From beginners stepping into the ring for the first time to competitive fighters chasing titles, Denver Rocks continues the legacy it started decades ago—stronger, sharper, and more determined than ever.

Because in Denver, fighters don’t fade.

They come back stronger.
